Between January and February 2004, the National Golf Foundation, in coordination with GOLF 20/20, conducted an online survey of golf facilities across America to gauge the number of rounds played in 2003 vis-ŕ-vis the previous year. Overall, rounds were down from 502 million in 2002 to 495 million in 2003. In some areas, however, modest growth was attained.
