While we continue to explore new ideas and pilot new programs to help facilitate the growth of the game, it’s our belief that the golf industry is populated with creative and motivated people who are successfully marketing the golf facilities with which they are associated. A priority for GOLF 20/20 in 2005 is working in coordination with other organizations to gather these Best Practices and structure them into an open database of unique and proven player development programs and ideas. In tandem with the PGA of America we have developed the categories listed here and the attached form for the submission of best practices.
There are a handful of Best Practices already listed here, but we are currently sifting through hundreds as we prepare them for inclusion into this database. The goal is to have enough information so that each concept can easily be duplicated, or if not, include a contact so that information can be solicited from the source.
We welcome the submission of a new and original Best Practice, or just letting us know of someone you think we should contact. Our ultimate objective is to collect and distribute the best ideas being implemented in an effort to provide these helpful tools to any golf facility interested in improving its business.
